Remake

Have you seen the Remake Project? The project challenged art students to remake famous works of art, but using photography. Here are a few of my favorites . . . .

Would it not be fun to remake one of these using your own family members?

I'm thinking of using Jeff and I in remaking
Grant Wood's American Gothic painting.
 It would be pretty funny.

Mason Jars

Source
I don't know what it is about mason jars but I've been really drawn to them the plast few years, especially vintage blue mason jars. The blue mason jars are harder to find and are a little more expensive but if I run across one that is under $15 I usually try to snatch it up.

There are so many different things you can do with mason jars. I have a few blue vintage jars that I'm trying to decide on what I want to do with them. Here are a few ideas I've come across around the web.

Jeff and I are coming up on our 8th wedding anniversary in a few months. WOW, time has flown by.  I was cleaning last weekend and came across our sign in photo album for our wedding. At our reception I had my sister and her husband take polaroid pictures of guests as they entered. The polaroid pictures were placed on black cardstock paper and the guests then wrote well wishes with a white inked pen next to their pictures. I still really love the way it turned out and thought I would share.

The one from Jeff's brother is one of my favorites.
Gotta love the added legs and scroll work.

There are so many other fun and unique ways of  recording what family members and friends were present to share in your special day. Here are a few of my other favorites.

Guests put their fingerprint on the tree branches for leaves and sign their name on the fingerprint. The bride and groom place their fingerprints on the swing hanging from the tree. How cute is that!

Set up a backdrop and place dress up items on a table for a personal photobooth for guests. I love this idea! Such a great token to have.

You could even get the real deal and rent a black and white photo booth.

These ideas would work really well for any event, such as a birthday party, family reunion or anniversary party.

One more day left of the work week, Yay! Have a wonderful weekend.
