Ummm, yes please! How much do you love this wall design? If it is half as much as I do then your mouth may be hanging open right now. Elle Decor is one of my favorite Home Magazines. In one of their recent issues they featured Payton Cosell Turner, a 25-year-old New Yorker.
Payton creates elaborate patterned "wallpaper" by applying small stickers on the wall in a pattern. Yes, STICKERS. The wallpaper patterns are made up of thousands of stickers that are hand-applied.
Sooo swoon worthy.

These stickers remind me of Elementary School. I had a sticker book that I filled up with these type of stickers.
Payton and her Fiance, Brian Kaspr, own a design company called Flat Vernacular, in which they create hand-drawn and screen-printed wallpapers.
Well, I didn't cover my walls with stickers but I have continued to decorate my art/computer room that I showed you a few months back.
I bought an old wooden sugar mold at a vintage shop to add some rustic character to my room. Sugar molds were used to form liquid sugar into cones. Pieces of the cone shaped sugar were then chipped away at as needed for cooking.
I've seen these used mostly for holding small candles but I decided to use mine to store some of our art and office supplies.
I also picked up a second sugar mold and put it in our new Vintage ETSY shop, Vintage Blue Smiles, if you are interested.
Hope you are enjoying your breezy fall weather, I know I am!

I am going upstairs right now to get my sugar mold (hidden behind several things on my kitchen counter) and bring it down to put on my desk.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the idea! So simple, yet I never thought of it. THANKS!
